Pistacia, one of the main resins of the Mediterranean region, is a shrub or tree with a natural aromatic odor that grows in the region. It is a plant that produces black fruits with dark green leaves and small flowers. It also produces liquid similar to pale yellow “teardrop” drops, known as chewing gum. The plant, which has a slight balsamic odor, contains an essential oil, albeit in a small amount, obtained by steam distillation.
