PARIS AND OINONE

Priam meets Oinone while his son Paris was left on the mountain and raised by shepherds, and they begin to live in a deep love for each other. The abilities that Apollo gave to Oinone are on healing wounds and the sick in return for his virginity, so that he can get to know plants closely and obtain a mixture from them. The goddess who gave her the ability to make perfume is Aphrodite. The love of Oinone and Paris continued until the Three Beauties Competition. During this love affair, Oinone shared the perfume secret given to her by Aphrodite with Paris, and their ongoing relationship deteriorated after Zeus was chosen as the judge in the Three Graces Competition. Paris betrayed Oinone's love and agreed to judge the contest. Oinone, who knows the future, tried to dissuade his lover Paris, but he could not succeed. Paris, who chose Helene, the most beautiful woman in the world, from the offers presented to her in the Three Beauties Contest, betrayed Oinone's love and left her. Upon this, Oinone, being aware of his ability to understand the medical information given to him and to see the future, promised that he would heal Paris one day if he was injured. Towards the end of the Trojan War, when Paris was hit by a poisoned arrow shot by Philoctetes, he asked for help from Oinone, but Oinone did not help Paris, who left him, and Paris died. Oinone regretted what he had done, whereupon he threw himself on the woodpile where Paris' body was cremated.
